Having worked with the client for over a decade previously Oakes secured the works via a traditional tender process and were engaged to install the boiler room upgrades which had been designed by Cundall to Appleton Lodge, Homeside, Pearl Street, Prospect Place and Sunderland Road the works consisted of temporary boiler rooms to maintain the heating and hot water to occupied buildings which house vulnerable persons. Existing boilers and associated equipment were removed and replaced with high efficiency gas condensing boilers, inverter driven pumps, pipework, insulation, flushing, water treatment, balancing and a full BMS upgrade including remote monitoring.
