Oakes Energy Services, which specialises in climate solutions has appointed a new national business development manager as demand for services continue to rise.
James Carter, 36, joins the North East based firm after working closely alongside Oakes Energy during his time at German engineering partner, and ultimate parent company of Oakes Energy, Viessmann.
Throughout his 10 years with Viessmann, James held multiple roles, such as international sales manager, which allowed him to work with worldwide brands such as Nestle, Ikea, and the Hilton Group.
In his new role, James will be working with new and existing customers to grow the business across the UK.
James’ passion for working in the plumbing, heating, and engineering industries was sparked by working part time as a 15-year-old for a small family firm in Huddersfield.
His career took off when he joined national firm, Wolseley UK, where he completed his plumbing & heating training programme. Then subsequently achieved his NVQ in management before joining Viessmann.
James Carter said: “I am delighted to be joining such an exciting company, which has incredible expansion plans for 2024.
“Since 2020 I have been working closely with the team at Oakes Energy and know first-hand that the company is leading from the front as a provider in renewable sources of energy.”
Nik Smith, Director at Oakes Energy said: “When I first met James I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge and expertise of the renewables sector.
“Everyone at Oakes Energy is looking forward to working alongside James, who will no doubt be a great addition to the team as our journey continues into 2024.”
